A Princess Tea Party Birthday

Disney Cruise Royal Court Royal Tea Princess Party

Are you ready for Princess Tea Party overload!?

Sophia was Cinderella a Blue Princess for Halloween. She had a Cinderella Blue Princess Party last fall. Shes still quite in love with Cinderella Blue and Princesses, so she requested a Blue Princess Party.

Her Mommy decided to open the theme up a bit more and convince her to tie in her current love of Tea Parties.

*She much prefers to refer to Cinderella as a Blue Princess rather than by her name.

Coolest 4 Year Old Princess Tea Party

When I gear up to plan my childrens birthday parties, I like to start really early. Im a planner and enjoy getting all my plans/thoughts on paper and as time goes on I can pick up things that I know I will need. I always start with the theme and build from there. For my daughters 4th Birthday, she wanted a Princess party. For her 2nd birthday, I did a Tea party and I had a lot of items that I knew I could reuse. For instance: pink tablecloths and personalized napkins from Pottery Barn Kids, personalized.

Pink Scroll with think pink ribbon tied. I placed a mini-star wand in the ribbon and ordered small glass slippers and placed the scroll inside the shoe. I found small Disney Princess treat boxes and placed the shoe/scroll inside the box, put pink tissue paper and tied the box handle up with Pink Princess ribbon.

Tea Birthday Party Ideas

No matter if your guest of honor loves throwing tea parties with their favorite stuffed animals as their guests, or if they prefer something more refined and elegant, incorporating a tea party into their birthday celebration is an excellent way of honoring them.

The following tea party birthday ideas are available to help inspire you throughout the planning process. Depending on the guest of honors interests, there are several ways to make these celebrations successful and memorable. The trick is figuring out their interests and incorporating them into the tea party theme.

Princess Tea Birthday Theme

It doesnt matter how old the guest of honor is for this kind of tea party. While it caters well to younger party-goers, its an excellent idea for anyone who wants to feel like a princess for the day.

When decorating for this party, pick up enough sets of fairy wings to decorate the backs of every chair youre setting out. You can also decorate the chairs by covering them with tulle and ribbons. Then, using teapots that you have on-hand or find at a thrift store, create floral centerpieces.

Continue this decorating theme by clustering pink and white balloons filled with helium over the table with white ribbons hanging from each. Then, toss some extra balloons all over the floor. Create a separate table-scape featuring cake stands, cupcake towers, and glass jars.

Planning the menu for tea birthday party ideas like this one involves filling the jars with hard pastel candies, using ice cream cones on cupcakes to make them look like crowns, and using a princess crown or Tiara as the birthday cake topper.

Continue this menu theme by setting out cake stands full of cookies and cupcakes alongside the centerpieces you create for the dining table. Fill crown-shaped goodie baskets with princess and tea party-themed treats and favors.

You can set up the main dining table or serving table, whichever you choose, with a pastel-colored or white linen tablecloth. In front of each chair, set up tea-themed paper goods that include a dining plate, dessert plate, and teacup.

Mermaid Under The Sea Idea

Does your guest of honor love all things mermaid and under the sea? If so, then this tea birthday party idea will be memorable. Youll find that this is especially true if they also love tea parties.

When thinking about decorations, keep the Under the Sea theme in mind. For example, hanging a baby blue sheet or tablecloth in the background with twists of green streamers will make it look like the tea party is happening in the water.

Take this decorating theme to the next level by incorporating mermaid and under the sea-themed party food and drinks. Remember, this is a tea party, so youll want plenty of iced and hot tea available.

Because many tea parties feature finger foods, make that the starting point for the birthday cake. Fill a platter with mini cupcakes, frost them using aqua icing, and then sprinkle graham cracker crumbs all over everything.

Then, bake a separate single layer cake featuring the same aqua icing. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs on the cake plate before placing the frosted cake on top. Add swirls of frosting on top to make it look like ocean waves, and then sprinkle more graham cracker crumbs on top.

Have you ever seen a sand dollar sugar cookie? These add more fun to tea party birthday ideas like this one. Before popping sugar cookies into the oven, you can press five pieces of sliced almonds on top. Then, theyll look like sand dollars.

Princess Tea Party Wardrobe

Sophia already had her Cinderella costume, but I was at a loss for Moreaya. We dressed up this cute white dress that she already had in her closet , with fun Princess necklaces and a Tiara!

I knew the girls would want t run around and play, so I wanted them to have a more functional Princess Tea Party Play Dress too.

Talk about on a budget! I simply purchased a cheap tank top from Walmart for each of them.

Then cut out a couple strips of Princess fabric and made a ruffle out of them. Then attached the ruffle to the tank andVOILA! Princess Party Dress on a budget!

I even added a 3 applique to make Sophias extra special.

They turned out SUPER cute that I think Ill make a few more, non-Princess themed. Actually, Sophia has already requested a dinosaur one.

Princess Tea Party Decorations

I made a cute backdrop for the girls and boys to get their pictures made in front of while they were dressing up.

It was simple I hung up fabric on an empty wrapping paper tube and made mini-bunting with felt.

For table decorations, we used mini princess figurines that Sophia has collected from Dollar Store trips. We also made homemade wands with Pixy Sticks and Craft Foam Sheets.

We had quite a few of these snack containers in our pantry, so I decided to DIY some tabletop Princess Party decorations with them, then send them home as party favors too!

See more about these here.

I made the girls a Princess silhouette and used those as party decorations.

This was also a craft that we did with the attending Prince and Princesses. All of the parents LOVED taking these home. It was a fairly inexpensive craft and I bought Dollar Store frames to send them home in!

I used this tutorial from Princess Among Superheroes.

I made these adorable Princess Grafitti labels in PicMonkey. I used them as bubble wraps AND ice cream cone wraps!

Headdresses And Dancing With Moana

REBORN PRINCESS TEA PARTY! for Fun Friday!

Do your kiddos love to dance? Of course they do! Practice and perform a Polynesian-inspired dance routine from Moanas How Far Ill Go at the party! Before the dancing starts, have each guest make a Tuiga, or headdress, to wear while they dance. You can make them out of felt, or be more realistic use leaves and flowers!

Alice In Wonderland Tea Birthday Party Idea

Do you know someone with an affinity for all things Alice in Wonderland? Does your child light up whenever you talk about the characters during the tea party scene? If so, this is one of those tea birthday party ideas thats sure to be a hit.

Hire a bakery to create an incredible Alice in Wonderland themed birthday cake. Or, you can use pictures found on the Internet to bake and decorate this cake in your home. No matter which option youre choosing, make sure the theme is clear.

Dont forget the treats! There are a variety of ways you can approach this from themed cupcakes, cake pops, and frosted cookies. Write phrases from the movie on a selection of treats, including Eat Me, or Drink Me. Include playing card decorated treats, like Rice Crispy treats and frosted cookies.

Have fun with the party decorations and invitations by incorporating the Alice in Wonderland vibe. Include teapots and teacups full of floral arrangements as centerpieces. Find paper goods featuring an Alice in Wonderland or a tea theme. On the backdrop of one of your table-scapes, hang faux roses. Use teacups or Alice in Wonderland themed mugs for holding plastic utensils.

For the final touches, like goodie bags, for example, fill gift bags that are colors you find in the moviethe powder blue of Alices dress, purple from the Cheshire Cat, and so on. Adding a colorful picture featuring a quote from the film is an excellent way to tie everything together.

Dress Up Tea Party Idea

Theres something about playing dress-up that makes an event, like a tea birthday party, that much more fun. If your guest of honor loves to play dress up and have tea parties, combining the two is an excellent birthday party option.

For this party, youll need a full-length mirror, lots of fun hats, linen gloves, and pearl necklaces. If a mirror on a pedestal is available, it will be that much better. Dont forget to offer an assortment of costume jewelry, including cocktail rings, clip-on earrings, and bangle bracelets.

When setting up for this party, make sure theres a section for dressing up and a section for the tea party. You could combine the two by including a tea party hat at each place setting. Include paper fans and strings of pearls on your table-scapes.

Another dress up section can also feature a table with a linen tablecloth, an elegant mirror, and bowls and serving platters full of jewelry, lip gloss, and sparkly make-up. Dont forget to include frilly boas, lots of flowers for the hats, and fancy shoes.

Fill a wide assortment of pastel-colored helium balloons, and then wrap them in coordinating tulle. Use lengths of ribbon and clusters of faux roses to tie the tulle. Include faux flower blossoms and butterflies around your centerpieces.

Pick A Date And Send Out Your Invitations

I love the idea of a princess tea party for little girls because at this age, they love princesses and fairies. Pick an invitation that fits within your theme and pick a time that works for the majority of your guests. In general, traditional tea parties will start at 3 pm and a luncheon will start around 11 am.

The key to success is a little pre-planning and completing some of the steps in advance without the kids help.

The secret behind being successful with kids is a bit of planning ahead and making sure that you get started on what needs to be done early so it doesnt become too overwhelming later when theyre around wanting your attention as well.

This Is What Sanj Said About Planning/styling The Party:

Kara

The color palette for the shoot was the shades of pinks with a touch of gold. Further, the vibrant color balloon garland enriched the glamorousness of the design. This party is layered with beautiful party-ware, pinata fringe accented with stunning fresh florals. We had such amazing hand made bows, organza flowers, and hand-painted pumpkins. It is pure bliss!

I have used the carriage and the castle going into the small detail of the theme highlighting every bit of it with the help of our graphic & acrylic designer. This shoot was topped off with the cutest carriage menus, stirs, plate covers and 3D milk box favors. Lets not forget about the dessert table our dessert table which was filled with so many princess-inspired treats like the castle cake carriage Oreos, fairy floss bubbles, cookies, beautifully wrapped chocolates, cakesicles. Our cute little princess and the prince dressed with the prettiest attires had the best time with their fairy godmother who was our princess entertainer.

Plan Your Menu And Select Your Tea

A typical tea party menu consists of a small selection of dainty sandwiches, buttery scones with jam, and an array of pastries and dessert. For kids you will want to go with something much simpler since their taste buds are less developed. Assorted tea sandwiches are great!

A sample tea party menu should include:

Assorted tea sandwiches keep things simple. Serve finger sized portions of peanut butter and jelly and cream cheese with strawberries. Cut your sandwiches with cookie cutters to add a cute whimsical touch.

Fruit salad

Shortbread cookies or small homemade cookies.

Fruit tarts or mini cupcakes

Since your guests are not yet ready to drink tea, I would suggest serving them lemonade, apple juice or milk.

Party Details As Told By Missy & Kristen

Be our guest and join us for this darling Belle inspired tea party for my very own little princess! Satin and rose fabrics along with pink, yellow and touches of gold were the inspiration for this royal tea celebration. With plenty of roses, books and princess attire, out petite princesses were ready to be our guest and join us for tea!

Each little princess stopped by our royal wardrobe for custom-made Belle tutus, tiaras, wands, and of course to take a peek into our magic mirror. My little princess had her very own custom Belle dress. After donning themselves in their royal attire, each petite princess headed to our royal dining table complete with Lumiere inspired candelabras, pink and gold mini tea cups with gold rose tea spoons, a floral crown centerpiece and real floral chair backs.

The dessert table was inspired by the scallop on Belles gown and was adorned with plenty of fresh roses, a cloche with a real rose, books, a Belle silhouette and plenty of sweet treats to snack on. Guests also enjoyed our candy buffet adorned with pink sequined linens and a beautiful custom made ribbon backdrop.

The princesses dined on beautiful cakes, rose cake pops, cupcakes and plenty of candies including chocolate lollipops, sixlets, gumballs and color coordinating cotton candy. The favorite item seemed to be our Belle inspired cookies which included roses, Belles gown, the magic mirror, rose topped Oreos and Belles friends, including Mrs. Pots and Chip.

Princess Tea Party Food:

The stunning dessert table was achieved through a combination of Ronis own treats and some other talented businesses.

Roni said I made pale pink French macarons with gold edible details and a strawberries and cream filling. I also made some vanilla cake pops with a strawberry infused chocolate cover, complete with gold glitter for decoration on a mint green straw. The key lime cupcakes were decorated with a butter cream mint rose and our friends from MKR Creations collaborated with the gold cupcakes. I wanted to feature my metallic gourmet apples for the first time at my daughters birthday which were granny smith apples covered in rich caramel and milk chocolate. These are new to our shop and tasted absolutely delicious.

This party has been put together beautifully, and would be a dream for all the little princesses. The beautiful styling, the yummy desserts and all the pampering make this a truly wonderful affair.
